Please Give Me Your Thoughts On Unusual Elderly Behavior....(thanks)

my girlfriend's dad who is 82 lost his second wife to cancer last october.

while she was dying, he secretly was seeing another woman, in her 60s.

long story short, a month after the wife's death, they both moved in together and in early june , they secretly got married.

With just a few sentences, I don't know quite what to think...

There was a brother. His wife died after 50 plus years of marriage. One daughter. He went on vacation alone, went to the KHall , met a younger sister. He was 80. She about 67. She gave him the eye. They got married quickly. From the beginning she had an agenda. Get his property, his money and pensions. All of it. In 3 years he was dead. A quick funeral, no obituary, cremated, she was packed, her many children came and drove the moving truck, and mom was outta there. His only child inherited absolutely nothing, not even her mother's wedding china. Nothing. The new Mrs. had packed everything up immediately, put the house up for sale and moved across country.

I met her soon after they were married. The room was full of his friends. She was not interested in knowing any of us. She acted like a stuck up bit$h. After seeing, and comprehending, she was in the marriage for herself and what she could get out of him, literally, I purposely sat beside her and graciously, pointed out to her who was who and what they meant to her new husband and shared with her, that we were all interested in helping her have a long and happy marriage, and that we were all welcoming her to 'the family'. Not interested.

Gold digger? I would most certainly say yes.

faders: why do we bother staying in?.

we cling to some false hope that people we love will accept us despite our not believing, even though its as much a fairytale as the dogmas based on untruths.. ive never been anything but a good friend and human being and would do anything for the people i love; i couldnt dream of shutting out someone i care about.

and its not like theyd revel in the idea of doing it either, yet its seen as not just the only choice, but also as undoubtedly the right thing to do.

It is for my own personal dignity. There is really only a handful of people that I have cared about for most of my life that are still JW's. I have longed to see them for so many years. All of us are getting older because, of course, there is no Big A coming. It is just a scare tactic. All of us, no matter what age, are destined for death. I, too, find our lives very precious. I have spent a lifetime, amongst cruel people. I have no cruelty in me. If I wrote a book about my life, nobody would want to read it. It would be just too sad. I believed in God, and that he would straighten all things out, and I would come out the happy victor. But no. That is not real life. I cannot undo the past. Your appeal was successful, yet you are marked.

WT/JW.org is cruel when they make the decision who is acceptable to talk to and who isn't. You have a sister? She is alive and close by so you can see her, talk to her, encourage and be friends with???

This is a first for me. Getting DF'd for a picture of your ear, next to your recently DF'd sister. lol

Maybe after a bit of time goes by, I will try harder to forget those people, my long ago friends. No one lives close by to me. I don't see them. They are just etched in my heart.

Para 8: The girl you liked, that turned your 'ear' in to get you DF'd, what are your feelings for her now? Does she live locally, go to your KHall? Do you see her often, or not anymore???

My heart goes out to you noonehome and to all of us who have had our lives, derailed is too nice a word, destroyed is not nice either, by the supposed people who say they are the direct link and voice (JW GB) to the god who they say is The God of Love and Tender Mercies... I call the God YHWH, the Israelite God of War and War Atrocities.

leaving the university with my degree!.

exams are finished and it's just a matter of days before i walk.. i was certainly stressed about doing this.

i'm older than my classmates and armageddon was sooooo close!

I found out the above information through my own research, lol, and I had no clue there was a place like JWN that already knew about Rutherford's hypocritical life style. I started posting here 2 years ago, because I was so shocked and I thought nobody knew, and I, LoisLane was going to inform, lol, the world. lolololol At least, no one ever told me. I found out for myself.

@DesirousOfChange... Bingo! I think that is a possible solution GB/LegalDept/WritingDept have been working on. How to make more money? Ummm . We tell them to obey. They give us all their KHall funds money. We tell them to write the deed to the KHall and all Assembly Hall property over to us. They do. hahaha We make more outrageous, ridiculous claims. Many leave as we planned. NOW we have less people attending the KHalls we own and less people attending the Assembly Halls we own. Now we sell. There is no Armageddon coming! It is a scare tactic made up for you to freely give your time and life to GB. Enjoy your life. Enjoy your children and grandchildren. Pick a job you are good at and that you enjoy and do it. Plan a vacation and go. Make wise investments like JW.org does! In fact, make long term investments like JW.org does! Save for your future retirement. If you are in your retirement years, do some real charity work.

i stopped to visit a sister at the hospital yesterday.

(i'm a guy) her husband is having a health crisis of his own and i figured that if he got to the hospital to sit with her, he was doing miserably.

what i heard was that she had had a stroke and these people would really be up against the wall if she got "shut down,".
